It took Lonnie & Pascale 2.5 days to get to advanced base camp at around 7,200 feet.
Today they plan on resting up to leave tonight for the col camp set at 9,500 ft.
They plan to climb the snow shoot at night where it is less likely to avalanche.
"So far the weather has been fantastic. It was cold the first night, but were able to keep warm tonight," said Pascale on their recent call into basecamp via their sat phone.
